That’s 1 in 5 Americans...or about 19% of the US population. With your partnership, we’re helping churches and the gospel presence in these areas not just survive, but thrive. Preach the Word. Love the People. As a Village Missionary, you will be an integral part of revitalizing a country church and sharing the gospel with the community at large. You will preach and teach the Word, as well as build relationships with families in your community. Many of our Village Missionaries and interns serve in community roles such as teaching, coaching or volunteer firefighting, or other civic and community activities. Learn More Join Us In Ministry! It takes a special dedication to answer the call to pastor a rural church, but the blessings that come are life-changing. A Village Missionary Pastor is able to develop meaningful one-on-one relationships within the church and community. On any given day, a pastor may help a neighbor with farm chores, work on a broken-down car, spend the day on a fishing boat, or listen as someone shares what’s on their heart. This relational ministry allows the rural pastor to display the love of Jesus Christ. America’s rural communities need loving, caring, compassionate pastors who serve in places that may feel isolated or are even struggling to keep their country churches alive.
